Francesco Parisi is the Oppenheimer Wolff and Donnelly Professor of Law at the University of Minnesota Law School. He is also a Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna. He previously held a Chair in Private Law at the University of Milan (Statale) and was a Professor of Law at the George Mason University, where he directed the Law and Economics Program.
Professor Parisi is the author of 10 books and approximately 200 papers in the field of law and economics. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Review of Law and Economics and served as Editor of the Supreme Court Economic Review, from 2002-2008. He holds a D.Jur. degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”; an LL.M., a J.S.D., and an M.A. degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley; and a Ph.D in Economics from George Mason University.
