James E. Hanley is Associate Professor of Political Science at Adrian College and a Fellow of the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding. He teaches in Political Science and Economics. His current projects include studying partisanship and ethnic identity in Belize and developing a free online American Government textbook.
He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon and studied as a Visiting Scholar at Indiana University’s Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis under Economics Nobel Prize Winner Elinor Ostrom. He also has certificates in Environmental Resource Management from CSU-Bakersfield and Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University.
