Kevin Currie-Knight is a Teaching Associate Professor in East Carolina University’s College of Education, where he specializes in the philosophy, history, and political economy of American k-12 education. He is the author of the recent book Education in the Marketplace (Springer 2019). He is an assistant editor and frequent contributor to Tipping Points, the online magazine of the Alliance for Self-Directed Learning. Additionally, he is the current President of the Pathfinder Community School (Durham, NC), a self-directed learning community for ages 5-14.
