Richard Joyce is an International Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sydney. He is the author of The Evolution of Morality and The Myth of Reality. Joyce’s work centers on topics in metaethics (such as the meaning of moral terms and the nature of moral properties) as well as questions in moral psychology, the nature of the emotions, and the evolution of cooperation. Before moving to Sydney, Joyce taught at the University of Sheffield and the Australian National University. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Princeton University.
